ADELAIDE

ADELAIDE

Adelaide is the state capital of South Australia. Situated on the coast, with kilometres of white sandy beaches, this elegant city is known for its colonial stone architecture, remarkable gardens, sporting events, lively festivals and incredible sense of space.

The city centre is structured around a simple plan: a one square mile city centre and lots of open space. The streets sit in a grid, surrounded by a ring of parkland in which sits the iconic Adelaide Oval.

The city is also known as Australia’s wine capital, with the Barossa, McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills wine regions on the city fringe with others including the Clare Valley and Coonawarra within half a day’s drive.
